Riviera Nayarit
The brand “Riviera Nayarit” is born as a new model of touristic development by the state and federal governments, anticipating the decidedly touristic exploitation of the destinations found along Nayarit’s Pacific Coast.
Riviera Nayarit comprehends over a hundred miles of coastline from Nuevo Vallarta to San Blas and will constitute the beginning of the Marine stairway towards the Sea of Cortez. Riviera Nayarit comprises the municipalities of Bahía de Banderas and Compostela.
Riviera Nayarit is based on two anchor developments; Litibú [152 hectares] and El Capomo [268 hectares], these are called Integrally Planned Centers [CIP]. An initial investment of 1,300 million pesos will build 5,900 rooms in El Capomo. The project includes eight hotels, an 18-hole golf course, a beach club and a shopping and entertainment center.
The first stage of the Litibú project also includes a golf course and six hotels with 1,930 rooms, 160 residential villas and 390 condominium units .
The private and state investments will transform the Riviera Nayarit into a tropical paradise for luxury travel in yachts that will dock at the Marina of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, a modern structure with a capacity of 396 slips. The marina will consist of 17 water hectares and 7 hectares of commercial sites including restaurants, bars and a spa. 310 condominiums, 100 commercials spaces, two hotels, a discovery center and a parking lot for 1,000 cars will also be built.
Riviera Nayarit will include luxury resorts as well as small boutique hotels focused on high-income tourism and Eco-Tourism, renowned fishing and surfing sites, four professional golf courses, commercial lots, a theme park and everything surrounded by exuberant jungle, islands and mountains, coexisting with humpback whales, sea turtles, tropical birds and wildlife.
The Riviera Nayarit is formed by the following destinations: Nuevo Vallarta, Flamingos, Bucerias, La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Destiladeras, Punta Mita, Litibú, Sayulita, San Pancho, Lo de Marcos, Punta Raza, Rincón de Guayabitos, El Capomo, Chacala, Boca de Chila, Punta Custodia, Bahia de Matanchen and San Blas.
